Wintry Weather System

Over the next several days our portion of the country will get its’ first taste of wintry weather this season as a fast moving storm system brings snow, strong winds and much cooler temperatures to the region.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Jim Murray says the storm will begin with rain Wednesday night that will change over to snow late Thursday.

Snowfall will be light and Murray says strong winds and cold temperatures will combine to produce wind chills into the teens Friday night.

Murray says once this system leaves the area we can expect a gradual warm up with daytime high temperatures returning into the 50’s by early next week.
