South Dakota Office of Emergency Management Update

Most of the estimated forty million dollars worth of damage from March flooding to public infrastructure was concentrated in the south east corner of South Dakota.

South Dakota Office of Emergency Management spokesman Mark Macy says Yankton County experienced the most damage.

Macy says they are working with FEMA to assess the damage and get the recovery process rolling.

Macy says fifty eight of South Dakota’s sixty-six counties were included in the public assistance disaster declaration.
