In order to apply for individual assistance Yankton County residents that received damage during the March 13th flooding event are being encouraged to register with FEMA.
Emergency Management Director Paul Scherschligt says even people who contacted the 211 Helpline previously will need to register with FEMA now.
Scherschligt says residents will need to supply basic information such as their address, social security, and telephone number.
Scherschligt says the FEMA Individual Assistance Center for Yankton County is being set up at the Office of Emergency Management located at 805 Capital Street. The number to contact FEMA is: 1-800-621-3362.
