Workforce Recruitment

Recruiting people to live and work in the Yankton community requires more than just a good salary, today’s workers want to live in a community that they enjoy and gives them recreational and cultural opportunities.

Yankton Area Progressive Growth CEO Nancy Wenande says informing people about the quality of life residents in this community enjoy is vital in getting them to re-locate here.

Wenande says when social media projects a negative image of Yankton, it gives both individuals and businesses reasons to look somewhere else for their next job or opportunity.

Wenande spoke at Thursday’s State of the Community luncheon.
