After 20th nomination (and 17th loss), Pink enjoys her tinfoil Grammy

Ryan Aylsworth/RCA RecordsPink’s Beautiful Trauma was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, but it lost to Ariana Grande‘s Sweetener. The singer wasn’t too upset, though, because she received a special award from her family.

As Pink explained last week on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, every time she loses at the Grammys, her husband Carey Hart makes her one out of tinfoil. She displayed her latest one on Instagram, being hoisted by her daughter Willow. The large foil Grammy reads “Best Pop Vocal Album, 2019 Grammy Awards, Pink, Beautiful Trauma.”

“Thanks kids,” she captioned the photo. “My favorite kind of award.”

In a tweet, Pink also commented on the milestone of this particular Grammy nod.

“I think it’s kind of rad that I just lost my 20th Grammy nomination,” she wrote. “I’m always honored to be included. Now to get this sick baby in the bathtub. Congrats to all the nominees! Have fun tonight.”

To be clear, it’s not that Pink has lost all 20 times she’s been nominated. In fact, in her career, she’s won three Grammys: One in 2002 for “Lady Marmalade,” her collaboration with Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim and Mya; one in 2004 for “Trouble”; and one in 2011 for an all-star rendition of John Lennon‘s “Imagine” that included Seal, India.Arie, and others.
