Amendment W

Supporters of Amendment W say it will give South Dakota voters the opportunity to reinstate some of the anti-corruption provisions in state law that were lost when the Legislature repealed Initiated Measure 22 in 2017.

IM-22 was passed by South Dakota voters in November of 2016 and Former District 11 Representative Darrell Solberg says citizens have stated they support anti-corruption measures such as Amendment W’s ethics commission.

Solberg says Amendment W would create an independent ethics commission that would have subpoena powers.

Amendment W is one of five statewide ballot questions on the 2018 South Dakota general election ballot.
