It’s Homecoming Week in Yankton, and last night the High School coronation ceremony was held and Levi Wiersma and Reagan Kolberg were chosen as the Pioneer Prince and Princess for this year.
Yankton High School teacher and head football coach Brady Muth says Homecoming activities are very special for the school and students.
Yankton High School Band Director and Teacher of the Year Todd Carr is the Homecoming Parade Marshal today, and says he will still keep an eye on the Y-H-S Marching Corps during the parade.
The Homecoming Parade in the Meridian District downtown begins at 2:30 today, and the Bucks football kickoff is at 7:00 against Sioux Falls Roosevelt at Crane-Youngworth Field. The Pioneer Day Fun Night activities will be held at the Summit Activities Center after the game.
Another growing tradition at Yankton High School is the decorating of hallways and last night it was announced that the Science Hallway was voted number one.
