United Way Record Goal

The United Way of Greater Yankton has set a record campaign goal of 700-thousand dollars for their fundraising effort in the coming months.

Marc Bies is the United Way Past President and says their Board received this request from the Allocations Committee.  Bies says the goal of 700-thousand dollars was set to meet the needs of 62 programs in the Yankton area.

This year’s goal is 12 percent higher than the figure of 625-thousand dollars which was raised last year during the United Way campaign.
