Yankton senior Ethan Wishon threw a school record six touchdown passes as the Bucks won at Mitchell 42-21 last night.  Wishon passed for 378 yards and senior Michael Drotzmann had 158 yards receiving with three touchdown grabs.  After falling behind 14-0 midway through the first quarter the Bucks defense gave up just one score even though the Kernels rushed for 302 yards in the game.  Yankton is 1 and 2 on the season and will have their homecoming game against unbeaten Sioux Falls Roosevelt next Friday at Crane-Youngworth Field.

Yankton finished second among 16 teams at their boys golf invitational Friday at Hillcrest Country Club.  Sioux Falls Roosevelt took the team title with a 321, with the Bucks right behind at 325.  Yankton senior Michael Frick placed second individually with a 77, while sophomore Jimmie Cunningham tied for fourth place with an 81.  The Bucks will compete at the Brookings Invite on Monday.

The Yankton Gazelles tennis squad split two matches Friday in Brandon, edging Aberdeen Roncalli 5-4 and losing 8-1 against Rapid City Stevens.  Yankton junior Josie Kraskee won both her matches at number-one singles yesterday, and the Gazelles will face Sioux Falls Roosevelt and Rapid City Central today.

The Yankton Gazelles and Bucks soccer teams have a home doubleheader this afternoon, hosting Aberdeen Central starting at 1:00 at Crane-Youngworth Field. The Yankton cross-country team runs in the Brandon Valley Invite today at 9:30.

In college volleyball last night, unbeaten Concordia swept Mount Marty by scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 25-15.  The Lancers are 2 and 6 overall with a G-PAC home match Tuesday night against Jamestown University.

The U-S-D volleyball team is now 6 and 2 overall after splitting two matches Friday in the Central Arkansas Tournament.  The Coyotes swept Pine Bluff yesterday, then lost 3-0 against Central Arkansas, and will face Little Rock today at 11:00.

The U-S-D football team has their home opener today at 2:00 against Northern Colorado, and South Dakota State will host Montana State at 6:00 this evening.
